Xi'an Aerospace General Hospital was founded in 1965, is a set of medical, teaching, scientific research, first aid, prevention, health care in one of the modern comprehensive second-class hospital. The hospital is the first affiliated hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University, the Medical College of Yan' an university and other 13 medical schools' clinical practice bases, has passed the Provincial Level Chest Pain Center Alliance certification. As the first and only teaching and training base for medical and health supervisors in Xi'an, the hospital is also the china in-patient blood glucose management training practice base,  the Prevention and control of diabetes in the grass roots of Shaanxi province standardized education base and Xi'an Emergency Center Air Medical Rescue Training Base.

The hospital has more than 1,200 staffs ,  including 1,056 health technicians, and 210 people with senior professional titles,  112 people with Doctor's and master's degrees, 2 people enjoying special government subsidies, and 1 model worker at the provincial or ministerial level. There are 39 members of the Standing Committee of Provincial and Municipal Medical Association. The hospital has participated in 24 national and provincial-level scientific research projects.

There are 38 clinical and technical departments and 20 inpatient wards. Gastroenterology, obstetrics and gynecology, emergency medicine, Critical Care Medicine, urology, Joint Surgery, endocrinology, Kidney Medicine, hemodialysis and other disciplines enjoy a wide range of influence in the region. Thoracoscopy, laparoscopy, arthroscopy, intervertebral foramen, ventriculoscopy, choledochoscopy and other minimally invasive techniques and gastroscopy, hysteroscope, bronchoscopy, cystoscopy, ureteroscope and other comprehensive strength ranked first in the province's hospitals.
