On November 5-8, the expert team of China Resources JCI Hospital Management Research Institute received training from American JCI consultants in Beijing. This training took Peking University Cancer Hospital as the teaching practice base. Ms. Marwa Zhody(the Vice President of JCI), Andrea Slattery(Consultant Training Director), Kathryn Zaba(Consultant Training Director Assistant), Fayez Abuhar(JCI Senior Consultant and JCI Consultant Management Director) and Khalil Rizk(Senior Consultant) brought a four-day wonderful teaching to the expert team of CR JCI.
The training was conducted in the form of a course and live tracking demonstration. After the completion of each classroom theory teaching module, the US JCI consultants led the CR JCI expert team to view the Peking University Cancer Hospital' condition of medical, clinical, nursing, administrative, and explained as a consultant, the key points should be traced in the process as well as the logic and skill of asking. During the training, CR JCI expert team discussed the challenging indicators for the JCI evaluation of Chinese hospitals with the US JCI consultants, so as to promote the implementation of JCI standards more suitable for China.
Like the global JCI consultant, to become a local consultant, the CR JCI expert team has to go through three weeks of classroom teaching, two or three times of field observation in a simulated hospital examination, and pass the JCI assessment. After the training, China will have its own JCI consultants. With the support and help from the US JCI and CR JCI, the CR JCI expert team will continuously draw on the latest theoretical knowledge and practical practices to serve the domestic medical institutions to help them improve medical quality and patient safety, and to contribute to the realization of the grand goal of "healthy China".
