On February 27, 2016, the 110th executive meeting of the Kunming Municipal Government reviewed and approved the list of winners of the 5th Mayor’s Awards for Excellence in Quality and Nomination Award. Kunming Children’s Hospital stood out among the 31 candidates, becoming one of the winners.
In July 2015, the mayor award winner selection office initiated the candidate recommendation and application work. A total of 31 companies handed in the application materials. After the preliminary review by the office, 14 candidates were shortlisted for further selection based on materials. Afterwards, each candidate was scored finally after such steps as material-based review, on-site review, and on-site debates.
The Mayor’s Awards for Excellence in Quality are the highest-level title of honor set by the Kunming Municipal Government. They are mainly given to the industry-leading local companies or organizations with the status of independent legal person as a commendation for their excellent performance mode, wide social popularity and deep influence, and in particular prominent achievement in quality, and economic and social benefits. No more than three candidates will be given with this annual award.
